Friends of Jackie Washington would like to extent a request to all of the friends of Jackie Washington everywhere. Jackie is now in his 87th year. The Jackie Washington Living Trust was created to make sure that his continuing life is full of not only good basic needs, like adequate living conditions, good nutrition and health care, but also that he is surrounded by a community of friends, fellow artists and all of those who cherish him for what he is, a treasure. Good retirement housing and care costs a lot of money. We need to make sure that Jackie's financial future is secure. Please help us to do this. Contribute whatever you can.

We, the fellow musicians of this country, the administrators of our city government, the festival directors from across the country, the media, the fans... want to acknowledge and cherish our "resident legend", Jackie Washington, by giving him a quality of life through which he can continue to be a flourishing artist. He has graced our stages and studios, delighted our audiences, charmed our children, "partied" at our parties and generally amazed us all for many decades. Let's give it back.
